In Marrakesh, from February 22nd to 25th, YCLA’s Local Workshop Bootcamp, organized by Euromed Eve Morocco, brought together a group of 20 passionate participants from across Morocco. United by their dedication to non-governmental organizations and community service, these individuals started a 48-hour journey to enhance their project management skills, foster partnerships with government institutions, and engage youth in politics for mutual benefits.
The bootcamp, spanning four days, combined online and offline learning modalities to provide a comprehensive experience. With a curriculum focusing on fundamental project management skills, establishing relationships with governmental bodies, and motivating youth participation in politics, participants delved into 24 hours of online sessions complemented by 24 hours of offline activities.
Divided into four teams, participants worked to develop mini-projects in fields such as Environment, Health Care, Culture Art, and Politics. With guidance from project leaders and access to online resources, teams translated theoretical knowledge into practical solutions, fostering innovation and collaboration.
The culmination of the bootcamp saw the presentation of four impactful projects, demonstrating participants’ ability to address complex issues within their respective fields. Personalized facilitation and follow-up support ensured that every participant received the guidance needed for success.
The overwhelming success of the bootcamp is evident in the consideration of all four projects for implementation. Moreover, participants expressed interest in future collaborations with YCLA, indicating the lasting impact of the event. This success sets a promising precedent for future workshops, empowering young leaders to effect real change in their communities.
YCLA’s local workshop in Marrakesh not only facilitated learning and growth but also sparked a network of motivated individuals ready to drive positive change. As projects developed during the bootcamp move towards implementation, the impact is poised to extend far beyond its duration, marking the beginning of transformative initiatives led by the next generation of NGO leaders.
